Who ARE we?

Neaera Consulting Group was started in 2004 with a main focus in network integration, security services and application development within the insurance industry. Neaera has migrated to services within the medical, insurance and government agencies.

We are also proud of our support to youth in our community. We fund and support a local non-profit company, Neaera Robotics, with an emphasis on the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, The Highlanders (#4499). Check out the team here

Tony English

Tony has over 20 years of experience leading and managing IT projects and is a Mechanical Engineer and Microsoft Certified System Engineer with experience in managing technical programming and infrastructure projects. Mr. English’s primary area of expertise is in the architecture of Internet security systems, data-driven portals, programming, and robotics. He also has extensive experience with web-portal based programming projects with an emphasis in document management and workflow in secure environments. This experience includes working on a number of transportation-related projects including, but not limited to, installing and managing roadside equipment security firewalls and VPN’s for Remote Weather Information Systems (RWIS), Variable Speed Limit (VSL) signs, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), and other Intelligent Traffic Systems, as well as developing and maintaining an ASP.Net and Java-based information system to manage remote data to relay critical travel data to citizens via the Internet, 511, email, and texting for road conditions and closures.

Darren Weibler

Darren Weibler has over 25 years of technical and managerial experience, spanning nearly all aspects of large enterprise IT infrastructure. Darren has held primary architect roles in the design and deployment of large complex IT solutions for Fortune 100 companies world-wide. He has additional experience developing enterprise-scale software applications and managing 3rd party software development efforts. Darren holds a MS degree in Applied Mathematics from Colorado State University, as well as BS degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. He also maintains professional certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI.)

Ivan Yourshaw

Ivan Yourshaw holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. Since 2005 he has worked for the Neaera Consulting Group as a software engineer and his clients have included business and local government. He has extensive experience developing web and desktop applications with ASP.NET, Java EE, SharePoint, VB.NET and C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle PL/SQL. His work for WYDOT has included a Windows desktop application used to enter road conditions data, a Java web service used by the road conditions reporting tablet application and public smart phone apps, as well as integration with the Oracle database

Debbie English

Debbie English attended Colorado State University and graduated with a computer science degree. She started Neaera Consulting with Tony English in 2004. She has extensive knowledge in VS2017, SQL, C#, VB, Java.

Jacob Frye

Jacob is a graduate from Colorado University who had a degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering. Jacob has extensive knowledge in C#, Python, Visual Studio and Android mobile app development. Jacob has worked with Neaera for 3 year and has been involved in the USDOT Connected Vehicle Project and the V2X Works Zone project. In Jacobs spare time he mentors a high school robotics team.

Drew Johnston

Drew is a computer science graduate and attended Colorado State university. Drew is currently working on extensive testing and configuration of Connected Vehicle equipment, data analysis and verification. He is also doing development work using Visual Studio using C#, JavaScript and jQuery.

John Wiens

John is a graduate student at Colorado School of Mines and majored in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. John is doing data analysis and geospatial query analysis for Connected vehicle data.

Michael English

Michael is a senior attending Colorado school of Mines and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He has extensive machining knowledge in CNC and manual mills, lathes and most shop tools. He also holds a professional certification in Solid Works. He is working with Neaera doing extensive Connected Vehicle testing, verification and antenna mount design.

Kayla English

Kayla English is a Colorado State graduate received her bachelors in Political Science. She is currently working on internal company support, QuickBooks, monthly invoicing and financial reporting. She specializes in MS Excel/Word and QuickBooks.

Brian Peel

Brian Peel has over 35 years of IT experience, including developing major components for the automated Wyoming Road 511 system. In addition, Brian has experience working on a GIS / ITS program and served as the Connected Vehicle Pilot Program lead technical representative. Brian brought his connected vehicle expertise to Neaera in 2022, where he primarily works on the Wyoming CV Pilot project. Brian graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Computer Science. Brian’s skill sets include C, Java, NET, and JavaScript. In addition, Brian is a certified Computing Professional.
